What is a RISA?
The RISA – Reduced Inorganic Sulfur Analyser – is a portable instrument for the measurement of sulfide sulfur, a component of acid sulfate soils and acid mine drainage.
There is no equivalent instrument currently available either within Australia or overseas.
Based on established chemistry, Risatec has developed a portable mini-lab which can be taken to any site and which will provide inexpensive, reliable, accurate and fast results to the benefit of users in the field. Such an apparatus will have applications in agriculture, mining, mineral exploration, land development, road building, land remediation, coal mining, coal processing and transport, research and allied activities.
